Day 1 - Building the Team

The individual components of a team are analysed to give a better understanding of effective team structure and the resulting dynamics. The focus is on creating successful teams and the ability to empower, engage and influence team members.

Understanding the critical importance of effective communication is fundamental to building successful teams. Day 1 explores the mechanisms and techniques used in coherent and impactful communication.

Day 1 also provides an opportunity to explore how teams should be aligned to the desires and requirements of the customers and the corresponding internal processes and capabilities, including the importance of flexibility and adaptability within teams to survive in today’s competitive environment. External customer and market requirements are mapped to internal capabilities in the context of building effective and flexible internal teams.

3:15 – 5:00 Customer centric teamwork - Building the dynamics of customer focused thought leadership and support structures

Day 2 – Leadership and Influence in Action

Leadership in its many forms is a catalyst in the development of great team work. Day 2 highlights the attributes of effective leaders, before exploring influence and control of outcomes in various scenarios. A comprehensive leadership exercise provides a framework in which leadership behaviour can be assessed, analysed and practised.

The power of influence is developed further through a competitive negotiation simulation, where participants are required to demonstrate behaviour

Translating great team work to realisable shareholder value is dependant entirely on how effective we can develop and communicate value to our customers. Day 2 also looks at developing both real and perceived value in a challenging, but open environment of innovation, and creativity.

Firstly, we explore the ability to innovate and be creative in a team environment, overcoming the inherent barriers of group think and team resistance. Secondly, we develop the ability to communicate value to our customers and stakeholders.

10:15 – 12:30 Leadership Exercise

1:30 – 3:00 Negotiation – get the best deal in a simulated game of tactics and negotiation

3:15 – 5:00 Creativity & Innovation Exercise - Establishing a framework for novel mind shifts in value- based creativity and innovation. Maximising customer value proposition through effective positioning and innovative communication

Day 3 – Combinational Performance Exercise

A final comprehensive exercise is used to explore how team work, leadership and communication align in a powerful combination to enable the delivery of outstanding results and outcomes.

1:30 – 2:30 Branding and Creativity - Team Presentations (Team Case Study)
