This one-day course presents an overview of the WiMAX Forum, including history, objectives, the organization and working groups, as well as main activities. Students attending the course will learn about the Certification Program Reference Manual (CPRM) which covers certification profiles, releases and waves, a high-level overview of certification testing, certification policies, certified product change management, and dispute resolution, and many other items. Additionally, students will have exposure to subjects including WiMAX Forum Certification Project Management, Certification Requirements and Test Specifications documents, and an overview of Certification Testing.
After successful completion of the training, students will have a clear understanding of the certification process from the WiMAX Forum for Fixed and Mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16-2004 and IEEE 802.16e-2005) including all the required steps to certify a WiMAX Base Station or Subscriber Station and the roles involved. The testing scope of the certification process will also be presented. It will allow attendees to establish certification strategies taking advantage of the re-certification policies in the WiMAX Forum certification process.
This course is designed for Certification Managers at WiMAX equipment vendors; Project Managers seeking certification of WiMAX products; HW and SW Development Managers and Engineers; and Certification Engineers.
